Answer: No, our pumps must be gravity fed.

Question: Can I replace the cord and/or shaft seal on my pump?
Answer: The cord and shaft seal can be replaced by one of our authorized repair stations if your Little Giant pump is a 6 series or above, or you can return it to Little Giant for repair. Smaller pumps must be returned to Little Giant for repair or replacement.

Answer: Yes, we do repair pumps here in our service department and all models smaller than the 6 series need to be sent back to us for inspection and warranty repair. The 6 series and larger pumps may also be returned to Little Giant, or they can be taken to one of our many authorized warranty repair stations. You will find information on these repair stations in the literature you received with your pump or your Yellow Pages. Our shipping address is: Little Giant Pump Company 301 N. Question: What can I use to clean my water garden that does not hurt the pump?
Answer: You can use anything that is considered to be "fish friendly". DO NOT use bleach or chlorine to clean your pond. The use of these chemicals may result in damage to the pump.

Question: Where can I purchase a Little Giant pump?
Answer: As a manufacturer we find it necessary to market our products through a network of distributors. Our pumps are sold through many mass merchandisers, fish and garden centers and wholesale supply houses. Check your Yellow Pages under "Pumps".

Question: Which Little Giant pump should I purchase?
Answer: This depends mainly on how the pump will be used. Little Giant has the widest variety of pumps of any pump manufacturer. There are many things to consider when choosing a pump: a. The flow -- amount of liquid to be pumped. b. The lift -- how high the liquid is to be pumped, usually given as "head in feet of water". c. The type of liquid -- from water to some harsh liquids, Little Giant usually has a pump for the job. Consult your local distributor for the right Little Giant pump for your needs.

Question: Which one of your pumps can be used for tabletop fountains?
Answer: Usually a very small pump is required. The smallest pump that we sell is our PES-A pump. It's maximum flow rate is 63 gallons per hour and has a built-in valve to control the flow rate. The PE-A is the next step up with a maximum flow rate of 80 gallons per hour.

Question: What kind of oil is in Little Giant's oil-filled pumps?
Answer: The oil is a non-toxic dielectric oil, very similar to mineral oil.
